My mom got married!
...and my sisters and I all wore black to the wedding... is that supposed to be bad luck? Who cares? We looked good ;) Anyway, the kind of ironic part of the whole thing is that my Vietnamese mother married the world's second longest held POW in the Vietnam War... Does anyone but me think that's sort of weird? I'm just waiting for the night when she wakes him up from a bad dream and he punches her while screaming "Charlie!"
Anyway, I'm really happy for her :) Lew is a good man and will take care of her and treat her the way she deserves to be treated... plus she has someone to be weird with :P She's always sticking her tongue out at people for fun hehe I took a picture of her doing that once with my cell phone... so everytime she'd call... there she'd be, sticking her tongue out, head cocked to one side, with the word "Accept?" across her face... it sort of made you wonder :P
Well, here's to many years of happiness for Mr. and Mrs. Lew Meyer! It's so weird that the Nguyen girls are down to 3 now... I wonder which one of us will be the next to bite the dust? :P

Congratulations to your mom and Lew! I think it's safe to say most of us don't think wearing black was bad luck. Unless....unless you're looking at this from a MacBeth perspective and you guys are the three fortune-telling sisters. You know, Jenni's dress did sort of look like an Elvira outfit :P So who's Banquo, Duncan, or Macbeth?
You're waiting for the night when Lew wakes up and punches your mommy? (gasp) I have to agree with the other posters, horrible as it would be if it happened, it's pretty funny. It's kind of like when your boyfriend got all excited upon finding the game Battlefield Vietnam and explained there were now more ways than ever before to kill Charlie....and then realized you probably weren't so excited about it - you know, what with being Vietnamese. Still, it's a great game..really :D
....Nguyen girls down to three? It sounds like you guys are waiting to be colonized or religiously converted, lol. Ms Nguyen, you shall now be known as Mrs. Meyer. Jenni Nguyen, you shall now be known as Mrs. (fill in the blank for those who have an idea). Chief Crouching Hawk you are now Joe Smith and a Southern Baptist. Quyen Nguyen, you are now Mrs. (any one of the skinny white guys on cable? joke) Well, Schelle better get to work if she doesn't want to be the last one to bite the dust. Honestly though, it's not a race and you've all been engaged before so who's to say who'll be the first to go? I wonder how your bf's feel knowing you guys've called off weddings before :P
